QUALIFICATIONS The ideal candidate will have demonstrated the ability to monitor all deposits of funds and payments of tuition; ability to maintain an effective computerized system for the recording of cash and student account receivable; ability to coordinate and operate an effective collection program; experience developing, implementing and maintaining internal controls; ability to lead and motivate staff and manage personnel matters. - A bachelor's degree with a minimum of four years progressive experience in financial services/cash handling and management services Preferred qualifications - Experience with PeopleSoft financial reporting system - Bachelor's Degree in Business or Accounting - Work experience at a Higher Education institution RESPONSIBILITIES The Bursar reports to the Assistant Vice Chancellor of Business and Financial Services and is responsible for the functional areas of University Cashiering, Student Billing and Receivable, Delinquent Account Collection, e-Stout Laptop Program Management, Minnesota Reciprocity, Perkins Student Loan Collection, Sponsor Billing and University Cash Handling. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster.
